Essential Oil – Lime

I am a bit obsessed with Essential Oils.  I use them every day.  I have a diffuser pretty much in every room of my house, and one at my desk at work.  I have roll-on's everywhere, and my daughter even has a couple.

I recently discovered how little so many know about them over all.  As I grow my cabinet of oils I will share some insight on the oils I buy, how they can be used, what I use them for, and other things they can help with.

I ordered Lime to use for cooking.... little did I know I would become addicted to this oil.  I had no idea how much I loved LIME!! It smells amazing and can be so uplifting.

EO Lime

What is its purpose?

Lime has lots more purpose then I thought!  It has antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral, restorative, and tonic properties.  A very common use is to help a fever topically, I have yet to had a fever in my house to try this out.
This oil may be beneficial for anxiety, blood pressure, soothing broken capillaries, dissolving cellulite, clarity of thought, debility, energy, fevers, gallstones, hair (cleansing), promoting leukocyte formation, liver deficiencies in children, lymphatic system cleansing, memory improvement, nails (strengthening), nervous conditions, cleaning dirty kids’ skin, sore throats, water and air purification, and promoting a sense of well-being. It works extremely well in removing gum, wood stain, oil, and grease spots. It may also help brighten a pale, dull complexion by removing the dead skin cells. Lime oil is capable of tightening skin and connective tissue.

How does it affect the body?

It can play a direct role in helping the digestive, immune, and respiratory systems.

How to use:

Lime can be applied to Vita Flex Points and/or directly on area of concern; diffuse. It is also an excellent addition to bath and shower gels, body lotions, and deodorants.
I love using this in my diffuser.  It has such a fresh lively fragrance that is stimulating and refreshing.  I have noticed it can help overcome exhaustion, depression, and listlessness.

Oral Use As Dietary Supplement: Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for human consumption by the FDA. Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in 4 oz. of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk).

Consult a physician before using this blend if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or suffering from a medical condition. Do not apply to areas of sensitive tissues. Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over. Avoid direct sunlight for up to 12 hours after use.
